Photo industry

A friend's opinion: Current weather is so f***ed up because it is looking for an equilibrium where it will settle before the next change.

I guess it's like an environmental evolution.

Currently, the photo industry have developed very rapidly when the conventional format is almost dying. Many companies stopped producing conventional cams and films. Some of them even went bankrupt.

The valuechain of the industry has evolved around digital photography. The easy access to the public has a lot of value, advertising (eyeballs) value. Almost everybody owns a digicam.

Everybody with email address can have photosharing facilities now and it is FREE.

People share their photos, with friends as memories is a vital part of friendship.

Photo sharing is a powerful tool, not only within your own community or family, but also powerful marketing avenues to sell photography related products and services.

Do you smell "selling" coming?

You are RIGHT!
