Framing Job

I have to say, framing is a totally different skill all together.

I don't have any intention to get into this. 

I draw a line, I only shoot and print. I don't do framing.

However, I think it is interesting to design the framing to match the interior of a hotel, a home. Its part of ID and furnishing.

Photography and Installation for BWP

Best Western Premier commissioned me to clad the walls of Best Western Hotel flagship in Malaysia.

Despite my busy schedule with my trips to Kuatan, I dedicated 2 solid weeks to deliver the job. Sleepless nights and sweaty days.

It took a lot of planning and designing and also communicating with many parties including large printer shop, the hotel and the framing shops. Major coordination job.

I gave my all.

I promised the owner the best I could give.

This was not really a photography job. Its more of an Interior Design job, which I really want to get into.

I'm sorry you weren't able to join us today esp to see the delighted faces of parents upon seeing the amazing photo's of their children. So many of them got wind that the photographer is my friend and asked me to thank you for yr contribution.

Kuala Lumpur City Center - 15 seconds exposure

I was bored after dinner. The weather was perfect, in fact it was rather cold on the way back.

I reached KLCC almost midnight.

Before I managed to set up the tripod he lights were off. So it’s kind of a dark (KLCC) subject.

I like the moon and the thin cloud formation.

I was recently commissioned to photograph Ambiance - a very nice shop that carries antiques and objet d'art.

A good experience.

The official opening was also my debut solo exhibition which response (both to the opening as well as the exhibition) was really good.

Jim Moore, a friend of mine, a Scottish entrepreneur who has been residing in Malaysia for decades.

This is one is of the hundreds, if not thousands, of beautiful work of art and ornate crafts available for sale.

Each time I go to Jim's shop I will surely get something - it could be a souvenir for a friend from Jakarta, or a set of coaster etc.

This particular pot was not a head-turner when I was doing the shooting. During editing I realized how beautiful the object is, and so the photography ;-).

Good stuff, I thought.

This shot was taken when I was driving on the Atlas, the highland of Morocco. You can see snowcap mountain from afar.

After a few drive we encountered dessert town with dessert palm trees, the typical Middle East landscape.

And a couple of hours drive can take you to the beaches of the Atlantic ocean.

Now, thats Morocco for you.

And Proud!

I have been working with TPR for a couple of years. I have to admit that I didn’t get involve until the completion – due to work and priorities. I am proud, nevertheless. Loads of credits to TPR for her perseverance to make this happen.

I am happy to see quite a bit of my photography work has been used in the book, too bad a lot of them are quite small to see the quality of my work. Another thing, I am not that happy as all the photos, and photographers’ credits are lumped together so nobody could really tell which photos belong to which photographers.

I am proud to be part of the team effort, in the process to preserve Terengganu heritage and culture.

The Beach

Kuantan has been a weekly event lately. I guess it will be like that for a while due to work commitment.

I don’t have a social life in Kuantan. Just pure work.

Typically, after dinner (normally mixed with business discussion) I will have no mood to do anything else but to hit the sack.

There are some nights I do talk a walk along the beach to breath in fresh air and enjoy the view of the full moon.

You should hear the waves.

Its beautiful.
