Bella Italiana - 19

I have been very busy lately.

Have not been checking the progress of the car for almost a month.

Quite a pleasant surprise when I went to visit it over the weekend.

I am quite pleased.

I have called David to arrange the tow truck to ship the car back to Torino Auto (Fiat Malaysia) to fix the engine and bring it back for final paintjob.

The only thing that worries me now is the detailing.

I am happy with the progress, nevertheless…

At a medical checkup last week.

A very pleasant 79-year old doctor attended me.

She is a Punjabi lady.

She went through all the questions listed in the insurance form with me including family health history.

And the we reached the section where she has to declare her neutral position in checking my health.

She read the questions out loud and answered them out loud too.

Question 1

Do I know you?

No, I don’t.

Have we met before?

No, this is the first time

Are we related?

She paused…..

And then she said…..

YES

I went “huh?”

She went – Yes, we are both Malaysians.

and

At 79, she doesn’t glasses to drive nor to read and write.

Bajau Kids of Mabul

I managed to capture some of the kids playing around in their little kampung by the beach.

This I would like to share with my friends.

I am still trying to refine my skills to present slide show with music.

Please bear with me.

Future slides will be better ;-)

Mabul and Sipadan Islands

Reputed to be one of the best diving spots in the world.

I have been a diver for a long time. I have to admit I am not really an active diver but when I have the opportunity, time and money, I would try to join some of the dive trips - once in a while.

The last dive I had was in Perhentian island which was about a year ago.

I am now in Mabul and will be diving in Sipadan tomorrow.

It is very relaxing here, and romantic too.

What more can you ask besides good dive, good food, beautiful paradise beaches....?

Perhaps someone close to you to walk on the beach in a cool evening.

Only in my dreams - at the moment.

I am enjoying every bit of this holiday.

Would have been perfect if......

Iki R called for direction to Life Centre, where to park and all. He is one of the friends who treats me like an abang. Ask me what car to buy, what camera or birthday gift appropriate to whoever…

Iki offered me 2 ticket for Zee Avi concert.

I went with E and it was brilliant.

Just brilliant.

We like Zee Avi so much, bought the CD and listen it in the car and at home… almost the whole day.

Check this young 23 years old girl from Sarawak out! She was discovered via You Tube!

After a spicy meal, it is one of the best time to enjoy a fag – if you have a lighter to light it up.

I smoke, I rarely carry lighter – very rarely.

It’s a good way to get to know people – like

Hey, have you got a light?

By the way my name is M

I did the same last week – I genuinely need a lighter – not to chat someone up.

May I borrow your lighter please.

Yeah.. and you can keep it.

No no, I just need to light up my cigarette.

Seriously, please keep it.

La MyNila

At dusk.
The traffic.
After a hard-day's work.

I told you.
After a hard-day's work.

I wanted to shoot the Jeepney from a dramatic angle.
I (unintentionally) caught this foot.
It's a Timberland, I think.

It's rather lame without the Timberland boat-shoe in the frame.

This billboard is damn big.
Check out the scale of the guy walking.

On EDSA.
Beautiful sky.
Dusk.... till dawn.

Ayala Avenue.
Makati.
Central Business District.
Developed world.

A few minutes from Makati.
Third world.

Kids

Kids

wherever they are...

Boat proud.

But not
Environment proud.

How can we sustain?

Yeah.

Every week almost the same view.

I normally stand by the balcony for at least 5 minutes before I even start unpacking to smoke and to absorb the surrounding.

So peaceful.

You should listen to the waves and feel the breeze.

It’s worth the drive……and more.
