Solo 10km Run

I registered for StandChart 10km run - end June. Thats about a month from now. I have to train for this run.

Most are my regular kakis are still on holidays - France, Italy, Spain and Krabi. I am left behind in KL.

I woke up early on Saturday morning and decided - OK lah, I should train for StandChart run and just hit the road solo.

It is school holidays and there were not many runners along my favorite Lake Garden - Kenny Hills route.

It was my personal best 10km.

Yeay!

Sunday Short Run

I love KL

Within less than 30 minutes drive I can be here and have my Sunday morning run with my running buddies.

Didn't do my fav 10 Double Hills through Kenny Hills but it was a fun run, nevertheless.

(Very) Happy Sunday.

But, why do they have to rename Lake Garden to Taman Botani Perdana. I like the good old simple name - Lake Garden.

And, it seems that Lake Garden is under perpetual reconstruction. Annoying.

The passing of a friend which reminds us not to take our life for granted.

Kharis, even though I do not know him very well, is a jovial guy I me a couple of years ago, on his bike in Ulu Langat. Our favorite route of nasi lemak and durian finale.

We rode together at lest ONCE, climbing up Genting Peres - the political boundary of Selangor and Negeri Sembilan.

I also bumped into him running the 10km Lake Garden - Kenny Hills loop in the city. 

He was quite a jovial guy. Very active in social media, very likable and sometime he throw on my wall with some subtly controversial remarks - but I didn't mind it at all. It was just a joke. 

He had a good sense of humor, quite articulate and vocal on face book.

I am proud to have someone like him as a friend.

Running Buddies

Nan (the girl on the right) is not only a running buddy, but also a cycling buddy. Been every where with her. Both are my good buddies. We have known each other for more than a decade.
