At some point I was quite nervous about the shipment. Who knows, anything can happen. Accident or just a bike theft ship it all the way across the border into Myanmar or Laos.

However, the fact that Khun Amphun has been recommended by 2 people, my worries was baseless.

Its a joy to see the arrival of the bikes.

TRANS THAILAND - just a thought

I want to share with you guys my favorite photos from the recent Trans Thailand adventure. I am currently updating my blog (don't expect a good writing from me. However I will try to compensate it with my photography).

I have to say, we the among the blessed few to be able to own this probably the finest touring machine available today.

TRANS THAILAND - first stop

At Tapah R&R, North bound.

The North - South Highway (Northbound) was not that busy yet at this hour. Besides, in Kuala Lumpur, it is still Chinese New Year & Federal Territory public holidays.

There were 2 convoys of bikers heading North. They were too fast for me to follow. Besides, I don't really like to ride without the sun above my head.

Stopped in Tapah R&R to have breakfast. Cant find anything nice to eat but still need to fill my stomach before lunch - in a few more hours.

TRANS THAILAND - all set, ready to go

Woke up at 5.30 and made sure I have everything I am supposed to pack and loaded the penniers and top box.

Travel light is not my forte. I maximise the space all the time, hence, the penners and the top box is full. I don't have any space to shop for anything - which is a good thing I guess.

I always have this "condition" thinking that I forget to pack something important.

After solat subuh and hajat for safe journey, I departed from home at 6.35am.

It was still dark.

TRANS THAILAND - getting ready

Though I have to do this regularly, packing (and unpacking) is not my favourite chore.

I have put these luggage open for more than 2 weeks before the trip. I only seriously finished packing the night before.

I am the biggest procrastinator when it comes to packing but I do make notes including metal notes quite religiously.

Fraser's Hill Solo Ride

It was supposed to be a ride with Dean and his son, Joey. I was looking forward to try riding Dean's antique Triumph but I think they were out late last night. Its Joey's last day of Christmas holiday.

Since I have psyched myself to ride, I went to Fraser's Hill, solo ride.

I don't mind solo rides. It gives me freedom for photo stops. 

The weather was perfect.

I actually wanted to continue to Genting Highland but the road towards Kuala Lipis was blocked due to a fallen tree. I changed my mind.
